This ground breaking announcement came yesterday. Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin have teamed up, but not on the silver screen. They have teamed up as investors in the Aussie car company Elfin.
For nearly 50 years Elfin Sports Car Company has produced some of the most highly competitive sports and open-wheeler racing cars of their day, ranging from the 1959 Streamliner, to Formula Vees through to ‘big banger’ sports cars and the MR9 Formula 5000 of the 1980’s.
Elfin Sports Car Company stated “we are excited”, and of course they should be as these two bring a dynamic mix to the pot for the car company. They bring urbane wit, spot-on silliness and perhaps even some banjo playin’.
The salt and pepper duo promised to bring old-fashioned insiders’ charm that this company was made with in the first place.
