DEVELOPING STORY: Go, the recently released open source programming language released by Google is touting some ground breaking new features. But among the initial docs, a section devoted to a ‘Thought Wave’ peripheral is making waves. Few details were given, but according to the docs, Thought Wave “is an experimental USB device that allows limited 2-way communicate with a human mind through ultra-low powered microwave beams.”

Among functions highlighted in the Thought Wave API:
GetInputDirection() – returns direction information sent from subject: up, down, left, or right.
GetConcentrationLevel() – returns level of subject mental focus: value 1-10
SendSound() – delivers a digital sound to the subjects head

Google has not returned multiple contact requests in regard to Thought Wave and the presence of it’s functions in Go’s documents. They have since been removed from all documentation.
